Our family just expanded!
And we’re all happy and excited about it!
We’ve gained a son in law!
But there have been times when it may have felt a bit more……
(pic from their engagement night)
like this!
This whole “leaving the nest” is rough business!
(At least for the parents)
Staged picture?
kinda,
kinda not.
But as they say….
Love conquers all!
It happened.
They’re a beautiful couple,
And she was a stunning bride!
But let’s back up a bit.
This was a short engagement! 7 weeks short!
Devin was heading across the country for the summer and Marg’s family was leaving for Alaska for the summer. Time was not on our side.
7 weeks people!
To pull off a wedding! …
Deep breaths…”Mommas got this!”
Marg assured me she would help me pull it off. We work best under pressure.
So… We go with Game Plan A:
Hire out the wedding for the sake of all our sanities.
However, game Plan B presents itself:
Wedding planner calls and cancels 10 days before the wedding!
Plan C: Full, all out, Panic!
Which leads to one of my finer mother of the bridezilla moments
when I made these two head out the door at 5:30 a.m. to get their pictures taken for their announcements before he jumped on a plane.
These two are in love, who cares about pictures!
Umm, momma does! They’ll thank me one day.

After a 6 week absence across the country… And a whirlwind last week of wedding planning,
Wedding week is here!
First Look.
Aww!
The ring.
The dress.
It was all magical.
Fun side note on the dress,
It was MY wedding dress! My mom sewed it for me over twenty one years ago for $80.00 dollars!
With some altering, she wore it beautifully!
(any of you locals want an amazing seamstress!? I’ve got your gal! shoot me a message)
Showing her Dad and I’s wedding pic. Wearing the same dress.
And the simple floral bouquet that was assembled literally moments before she rushed out the door. Remember, We work best under pressure.
Officially Husband and Wife!
Learn about our dear friend Sarah
and if these girls look too young to be getting married and being bridesmaids,
dont let that fool you….They are!
They have no business growing up and heading off on their own!
He insisted on the snakeskin boots, true cowboy at heart.
For time and all eternity.
And then it was off to a night of celebrating with family and friends.
We love you guys and wish you all the world!
“Great marriages are built brick by brick, day after day, over a lifetime.”
Dieter F. Uchtdorf
And we wish you a lifetime of happiness!
Thanks to all the friends and family who helped us pull this off! There were so many kind acts of service and people willing to help at such a late notice (you know who you are, you are loved!)
I can’t say enough good things about our photographer Camille Marie who we just happened to find on Instagram
and our Seamstress Heather who went over and beyond in bringing this dress back to life.
and Annette who’m we’d never met and took a gamble on from a last minute friend referral and she worked her magic with hair!
All of whom are super affordable and I would hands down highly recommend! They all far exceeded this Mommas expectations.
Looking forward to a wedding video from our videographer which we’ll be sure to share with you here
